More Totoro & Friends Cards
I posted my first Totoro card on May 23rd and then the next one on May 25th. I decided to create more cards because I found a new way to make Totoro's ears. Instead of drawing them with a marker, I use the new fox builder punch--the piece that would be used for the face accent--and cut it into 2 pieces. Here are more Totoro and dust sprite cards using the A Little Foxy designer series paper stack and coordinating colors (smoky slate and calypso coral). Totoro's body is from Playful Pals. The heart talking bubble is from the foxy friends set.
Totoro's body was stamped in Smoky Slate using the shape from Playful Pals. His tummy is a 1" circle punched from whisper white. And the triangle designs are from the Playful Pals set also. His eyes were punched using the 1/4" handheld circle punch. For the dust sprite, I punched a 1 1/4" circle out of basic black and then tore around the edges so that it looked fuzzy. The dust sprite's eyes are also 1/4" circles.
Here is a matching folder to put the cards in. This is the same folder design that I posted on June 1st for my mouse cards. To make the folder, I used a full sheet of basic gray and scored down the middle on the long edge at 5 1/2", then scored along the 8 1/2" edge at 6 1/4". Fold on both scored marks. For the pocket fold, trim the middle so that it leaves a space shaped like a narrow V. Attach each pocket to the edge using tear and tape.
Well, I can't seem to get enough of Totoro. You may see more Totoro and friends posts in the future! Here are the supplies I used to make these cards.
