Fancy Folds Christmas Trees Card
I was inspired to make this fancy fold card from the holiday cards that we made at the Stamped With Aloha Waikiki Retreat.
Here are the inspiration cards as created by Cindy Baughman. You can check out all of the creative holiday projects we made at retreat on her blog at www.stampedwithaloha.com.
Here is my card, front view and side view.
We learned how to do this fancy fold from Linda Bauwin (stampingwithlinda.typepad.com). Based on the instructions from her website, here is how to create the fold:
To make the corner fold you will need a piece of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" cardstock. You will score along the 8 1/2" side at 4 1/4" to form your card. Then you will move the cardstock to the 3" mark and cut from the 2 1/2" mark to the 4 7/8" mark. Flip the card and line up at the 3" mark. This is at the edge of the finish cut you just made. Cut from the cut mark to the 5/8" mark. This forms your corner fold.
This design works great for cards of all occasions. Once you try it a few times you will see how simple and striking a layout it can be. Have fun trying it out on your own!
Here are the supplies I used to make my card.
