Cards with Christmas Greetings Thinlits
Today I have two holiday cards that use the same thinlits, stamp set and embossing folder. I also had fun using punches and framelits to create windows.
To create the window on this card, I punched the whisper white cardstock using the 2 1/2" circle punch. Then I stamped the "& love" phrase from Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set using Night of Navy classic ink on the whisper white cardstock before I embossed it using the Softly Falling textured embossing folder. Then I attached it to the Night of Navy card using dimensionals. I attached an assortment of small stars and medium star that I punched from glimmer paper (dazzling diamonds and silver) and silver foil to add shine. I used silver foil paper for the peace from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits.
To create the window on this card, I used the oval collections framelits (the fourth one when you count from the inside out) to cut the Old Olive cardstock. I then embossed it using the Softly Falling textured embossing folder. I attached the Old Olive cardstock to the Whisper White cardstock using dimensionals. The trees were made using the tree punch and also embossed using the Lucky Stars embossing folder. The merry was cut-out from silver foil paper using the Christmas Greetings thinlits. The "Christmas" phrase from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set was stamped in Old Olive classic ink and punched with the word window punch. Again the sparkly stars were punched from silver glimmer paper and silver foil paper.
Conveniently, the Christmas Greetings Thinlits and Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set are available as a bundle, which gives you a 15% savings. Both cards also use the Softly Falling textured embossing tolder. See below for a complete listing of the supplies used for each of the cards.
