Bear Hugs - February 2026 Class

Card 1: Bear Hugs

This card features my favorite bear from the Valentine Kisses stamp set along with the coordinating die, which makes cuts along the bear’s arms so that you can insert something to hug!  There are many options—you can see the examples below with a teddy bear and the large heart.  Too cute!  The circle shape was die cut from the Stylish Shapes dies.  The designer series paper is Cute as Bug.

 Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Sets: Valentine Kisses*, Reason to Celebrate (for sentiments), Sweet Bugs (for grass with flower)

  • Dies: Valentine Kisses*, Stylish Shapes

  • Soft Sea Foam cardstock 5 ½ x 8 ½”

  • Basic White cardstock to die cut circle ~3”

  • Crumb Cake cardstock to stamp and die cut bear

  • Pecan Pie cardstock to stamp and die cut teddy bear

  • Poppy Parade cardstock to die cut heart

  • Cute as a Bug DSP 2 x 5 ½”

Card 2: Craft Fair Bear

Here is another bear from the Valentine Kisses bundle.  I was inspired by craft fairs and farmers markets to have this bear with its own jams and jellies booth.  You can also get a smooch.  The booth and bear were cut using dies from the bundle.  The jars have an individual die, but I stamped them together and cut them out as a group.  The cute little banner was punched from the new Three Banner punch using the coordinating Banner Sayings stamps.

Card 3: Bug Celebration

The ants go marching…  When I saw the trio of ants, I immediately thought of this song that we used to sing as kids.  And then I saw the ladybugs and it made me think of the Ladybug Picnic from Sesame Street—that was a favorite!   So instead of wanting to call the exterminator, these cute bugs made me smile and brought back good memories.  The Cute Bugs bundle has the stamps and dies to cut all of these images.  Below are three examples.

Card 4: Bugs Life Panel Card

This simple card showcases the Cute as a Bug DSP sheets that have bug scenes.  I rarely use Cajun Craze cardstock but you see it in this card because it is a color used in the DSP.  The banner shapes are from the same die set used in all of this month’s cards—Stylish Shapes.

  • Granny Apple Green Cardstock 4 ¼ x 11”, scored at 2 ¾” and 8 ¼”

  • Cajun Craze Cardstock 2 ¾ x 4 ¼”
