Let's Grow - August 2025 Class
Here are the cards from my Let’s Grow class. We have an eclectic mix to fit our theme--cute mushroom terrariums, a loooong dog in a sweater, bicycle, and flowers. The stamp sets and products are from the Annual Catalog as well as On-line Exclusives. Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post. Thanks for stopping by!

In June’s class we filled the jars with cookies and here is another use. No worries about keeping these terrariums thriving—just stamp away. Note: The faces on the small mushrooms were hand drawn, not stamped.

Card 2: Sweater Time Dog
Who can resist this cute dog in a sweater? And surprise, when you open up the card, he grows. For the card base, it was scored at 2 1/8” and 4 ¼”. Fold the card in half on the 4 ¼” fold, then fold it back on the 2 1/8” fold. Use your bone folder to crease the fold to make it as flat as possible. Then stamp the dog, centering it on the crease. The open up the card and stamp the long body piece, matching it up exactly on the left side and allowing overlap on the right side. Cover the right side with the Need for Tweed DSP. Then stamp the front half of the dog on another piece of cardstock, color and cut it out and attach it with dimensionals—align the placement with the stamped image on the base.
Here is the recipe:
Stamp Sets: Long Time No See, Turtle-y Awesome (balloon)
Basic White cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”, scored at 2 1/8” and 4 ¼”, plus piece to stamp front half of dog body
Need for Tweed DSP 2 x 5 ¼”
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, Pecan Pie Classic Ink
Stampin’ Blends: Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon, Blueberry Bushel
Early Espresso/Old Olive linen thread @ 5”
Card 3: Bicycle
This simple bicycle reminded me of summer days and riding around the neighborhood until dark. It features Timid Tiger, which to me is a retro-orange and reminds me of the 70s adding to the nostalgic feel. The bicycle outline was cut with snips. The stamp set has other images that can be used in a similar design—dog, tiger, dolphin, cake, and rose.
Here is the recipe:
Stamp Set: Along These Lines, Simply Said
Timid Tiger cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”
Basic White cardstock 4 x 5 ¼”, ¾” strip for words
Ink: Timid Tiger Classic Ink
Strawberry Slush & Pretty In Pink Adhesive Gems
Wink of Stella
Card 4: Floral Panel
The Wildly Flowering DSP is the main feature of this card. The florals are cut into thin strips then reassembled with narrow borders to look like artwork. It just needs a simple sentiment and some dyed linen thread tied into a bow for an accent.
Here is the recipe:
Stamp Set: Simply Said
Basic Beige cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½” scored at 2 1/8” and 6 3/8”, 2 pieces @ 2 x 5 3/8”
Early Espresso cardstock 3 ¼ x 4 1/8”
Wildly Flowering DSP 3 x 4”, cut into 3 strips of 1 x 4”
Ink: Early Espresso Classic Ink
Traditional Labels Dies
Forever Plaid Embossing Folder
Early Espresso/Old Olive linen thread @ 5”
