November "Santa's Workshop" Special Holiday Class
In the first weekend of November we had our special tags and cards class. This year, Stampin' Up! has great packaging options for cards in the Holiday Catalog, including mini pizza boxes and the acetate card box. We used them with the Quilted Christmas product suite to create a spread of cards. Here is a summary of what we made, which included 2 sets of each of the following:
4 3x3" cards and a decorated mini pizza box to package them in, including envelopes
5 holiday tags and a decorated mini pizza box to package them in
2 medium cards and 2 notecards with an acetate box to package them in, including envelopes
We used a pack of felt embelishments, which included 5 each of trees, holly berries and leaves and stars. They are very versatile and an easy way to make a project pop. For all of the projects, we attached them using the multipurpose liquid glue. When were were done, we had 1 tree left.
3x3 Cards and Mini Pizza Box
The mini pizza boxes are perfect for 3x3 cards. The box can also fit a gift card, food (the lining of the box is foodsafe) and other goodies, like tags, which are up next! On this project, we used the felt tree on the box cover and on a card in the box. The images are from the Quilted Christmas stamp set and paper from the Quilted Christmas designer series paper stack.
Holiday Tags and Mini Pizza Box
This box holds 5 folded tags--2 with a 3x3 front, 2 with a 2 x 2 3/4" front and 1 with a 2 x 3" front. The images are from the Merry Little Labels stamp set and punched using the Everyday Label punch. The bow on the Just for You tag is from the Holly Berry Builder Punch.
Holiday Cards and Acetate Box
The final project includes 2 whisper white notecards and 2 medium sized cards. They are packaged in the acetate card box. This box is sized perfectly for medium sized cards. Depending in the thickness of the cards, it can hold up to 6 cards and envelopes. Perfect for gifting.
For the tree card, the triangles were cut from the Quilted Christmas designer paper and then "pieced" together from the bottom up. The Quilt Top textured impressions embossing folder makes the perfect background.
