Work on the New Stamp Room has begun!
After thinking about an addition for the last two plus years, we decided to take small steps and covert the garage space into a craft room. Once it was a go, everything happened very quickly. In this post, I'll be sharing the before photo and some in-progress photos.
Here is the "before" photo. After the room is done, I still plan to park my car in the left half of the garage, except when I have classes.
We cleared EVERYTHING out of the garage and the work began. First was the electrical work. Then came finishing the walls. I forgot to take photos of these 2 steps, it all happened so fast! Then came the painting. Here is a photo after the primer was painted on the walls.
For the walls, I chose a light gray with beige tones from Sherwin Williams. Next the floor was finished with a gray texturized compound. It is meant to withstand a lot of wear and can be shot down with a hose if needed. Then the AC was installed. Now it's a nice space, take a look. Thanks to all of our awesome contractors for making it happen! The transformation occurred in 2 weeks.
Next is the cabinets! Stay tuned for my next post that will cover the cabinet install.
