Foxy Friends Cards
We had our annual Stamped With Aloha new catalog open house this past weekend. Thanks to everyone for the canned goods and monetary donations for our FoodBank drive. We had a huge retired products sale, card sales, a make and take station, refreshments and demonstrations. I was manning one of the demonstration tables and, of course, my theme was critters! I showcased the new Foxy Friends set and Fox Builder punch, which can be purchased as a bundle (for 10% off) or separately, plus the coordinating designer series paper stack, A Little Foxy.
The designer paper stack features the colors Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate and Whisper White. So I used these colors along with Basic Black and Basic Gray to make three cards that were part of my demo.
The first one is of the fox. I used every single shape from the Fox Builder punch. The white accents on his tail, ears and face were punched from whisper white. His body, tail and head were punched from Calypso Coral. And his nose was punched from Basic Black. I drew in his eyes with Journaling Pens and stamped his front legs using the images from the Foxy Friends stamp set. Because it's photopolymer, it's easy to place in just the right spot. The words are from the set Greatest Greetings. The background paper of mushrooms is from A Little Foxy.
Next up is a raccoon in Basic Gray. I use the Fox Builder punch to punch his tail, head and body from Basic Gray. Then the stripes on his tail, front legs and mask and ear accents are stamps from the Foxy Friends set. I drew the eyes with a Journaling Pen and punched out his nose in Basic Black. I really like the hearts in the talking bubble, which is also from Foxy Friends stamped in Calypso Coral. Again the background paper is from A Little Foxy.
The final card is another raccoon, this time in Smoky Slate, so he is a little lighter and his features are easier to see. He was made the same way as the raccoon above. I really like the designer paper, there are so many cute patterns. I'll have more to share later so stay tuned!
