January Floral Panel Card
The fourth card from my January class was a floral panel card. It was inspired by a card that my upline Cindy Baughman demoed for us at our SWA Holiday Retreat. It features the metallic foil doily, the new Birthday Blooms stamp set, and coordinating Birthday Bouquet designer series paper. The card is a panel card that is scored at 1 3/4" and 6". The panels fold to the middle.
Here is the card when it is closed.
Here is the card with the left panel opened.
Here is the card with both panels opened.
The card contains 3 layered messages and the doilies are layered to exactly match when stacked so that you cannot see that there are layers--like a hidden surprise. Tips when making this card:
- Fold the panels and attach the card stock and designer paper to the panels.
- Stamp the sentiment inside the card.
- Fold the right panel closed and attach the doily so that it covers the sentiment.
- Fold the left panel so that the card is completely closed and attach the doily to the left panel so that it perfectly covers the doily attached to the right panel.
- Stamp and attach the sentiments to each of the doilies. The sentiments for the doilies are attached last so that the orientation will be right side up.
This card design works well with many other stamp sets and/or designer paper. I'm sure you will enjoy creating your own.
