Holiday foil vellum cards

Today's cards feature the Holiday Fancy Foil Vellum.  These are the last three cards that we made in my November card class.  The vellum pack includes 3 different designs--red diagonal stripes, silver snowflakes and little green trees.  The vellum adds a wow factor to these very simple and easy to make cards.

Tips for working with vellum:

  1. Unless you can apply the snail behind a design on the vellum, do not use snail to attach vellum because it shows through.
  2. Using a glue stick works well.  Apply sparingly and if possible, apply to your cardstock then place your vellum on it instead of applying directly to the vellum.  Dab the corners of the vellum to secure as needed.
  3. On a very humid or rainy day, vellum has a tendency to curl.  You may want to wait for a dry day to adhere your vellum to your project.

The other featured product on the tree and santa cards are the holiday enamel dots.  My favorite is the large red enamel dot used for Santa's nose.  They are great to embellish holiday cards and give them more shine.
