Latte Fun - May Class

Here are the cards from my Latte Fun class. The stamp sets and products are from the new Annual Catalog and On-line Exclusives and will provide your caffeine fix.  Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post.  Thanks for stopping by!

Card 1: Latte Wishes

This card features the A Little Latte designer series paper and coordinating dies.  The cup of latte was die cut from the DSP using the appropriate Latte Love die.  Then the plate it is resting on is the 2 ½” size circle from the Deckled Circles dies. The three drops are adhesive backed swirl dots that are part of the Latte suite.

20240525 cup of latte

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Set: Something Fancy (sentiment)
  • Dies: Latte Love, Deckled Circles
  • A Little Latte DSP 4 x 5 ¼” and cup cutout
  • Pecan Pie cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”
  • Early Espresso cardstock to die cut 2 ½” deckled circle
  • Basic White cardstock ½ x 2 ¾” for sentiment
  • Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots
  • Ink Pad: Early Espresso Classic Ink

Card 2: Hot Drinks Duo

Here is another card that uses cut-out images from the A Little Latte DSP.  This time they are standing mugs, which are fussy cut.  The front cup is happy—one of the faces from the Bee My Valentine set-- and the heart on the second cup is from the same set.   The mugs, which I like to imagine are full of hot chocolate, are sitting on a placemat that was die cut using the Perennial Postage dies.

20240525 Mug Duo

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Sets: Latte Love, Bee My Valentine
  • Dies: Perennial Postage Dies
  • A Little Latte DSP 2 x 5 ½” and mug cutouts
  • Crumb Cake cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”
  • Pecan Pie cardstock for postage die (size 2 x 2 ¾”)
  • Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots
  • Ink Pad: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
  • Stampin’ Blends: Flirty Flamingo

Card 3: Coffee Trio

This card was made using stamped images only, no DSP.  All of the images are from the Latte Love stamp set and die cut using the coordinate dies.  The sentiment was selected so that it would fit within the liquid circle of the mug and is from the Simply Said stamp set.

20240525 Mug Trio

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Sets: Latte Love*, Simply Said
  • Dies: Latte Love*
  • Petal Pink cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”, plus piece to stamp and die cut cup
  • Early Espresso cardstock 3 5/8 x 4 7/8”
  • Basic Beige cardstock 3 ½ x 4 ¾”
  • Calypso Coral cardstock to stamp and cut cup and mug
  • Pecan Pie cardstock for stamped circles in the cups (1 3/8” circles)
  • Ink Pad: Early Espresso Classic Ink

* Available as a bundle for 10% savings

Card 4: Mouse Hugs

Of course I needed to include a critter card!  This cute mouse is from the Hearts & Hugs stamp set on a Basic White notecard featuring the new 2024-2026 In Colors.  The class pack has an assortment of colors (Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop).  Cutting the DSP along the diagonal was an idea inspired by a talented demonstrator and friend, Zeny Lucey (thanks Zeny!).

20240525 mouse hugs

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Set: Hearts & Hugs
  • Basic White notecard and envelope
  • Basic Black cardstock 3 1/8 x 4 5/8”
  • In Color 2024-2026 (Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop) 3 x 4 ½”
  • In Color 2024-2026 DSP 3 x 4 ½”, then cut along diagonal to get 2 pieces
  • Ink Pad: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
  • Stampin’ Blends: Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Petal Pink

Sweet as Sugar - March 2024 Class

Here are the cards from my Sweet as Sugar class. The stamp sets and products are from the Mini Catalog and On-line Exclusives and will satisfy your crafty sweet tooth!  Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post.  Thanks for stopping by!

Card 1: Soft Serve Swirl Cone

This ice cream cone is good enough to eat!  I used colors for my favorite ice cream swirl combination of chocolate (early espresso cardstock) and vanilla (basic white cardstock).  All of the shapes were cut using the Ice Cream Swirl dies.  The cone has an additional die that embosses the pattern. The sprinkles are Rainbow Adhesive-backed dots that match the DSP and cardstock colors.  There is also coordinating bakers twine.  This card is a backfold card—the ice cream cone is attached to the right panel so that the front of the card tucks under it.  The card base is 7 ¼ x 5 ½” and is scored at 3” and 6”, leaving a 1 ¼ “ section that serves as the backfold so that the card can easily be opened and closed, see photo.

Card 2: Donuts

Here is a card that will tempt you to go to the bakery.  These donuts (from the Carnival Treats set) could be glazed in all colors of the rainbow. The smiling face is from the Bee My Valentine set.  The conversation bubble was made using the bee from the Bee Builder Punch.  The Carnival Treats set has other goodies like a candied apple, which is the 2nd card shown here.  You could also mix and match-- there are more images in the set like cotton candy, popcorn, a hot dog and milkshake.

Tips:

  • Stamp the donut in a lighter ink so that you can color the dough portion of the donut in another color, like crumb cake. For this card, I used Bubble Bath.
  • Another alternative is to stamp the donut in 1 color for the glaze, then 1 color for the donut. Then cut out the glaze and attach it over the one in the donut color.

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Sets: Carnival Treats (host set), Bee My Valentine (face), Ice Cream Swirl (sentiment), Just My Type (sentiment)

  • Basic Black cardstock 4 ¼ x 2 5/8”
  • Basic White cardstock 4 1/8 x 2 ½”
  • Crumb Cake cardstock for conversation bubble (punched using Bee Builder punch)
  • Bee Builder Punch
  • Rainbow adhesive-backed dots
  • Ink Pads: Bubble Bath Classic Ink, Pecan Pie Classic Ink, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
  • Stampin’ Blends: Crumb Cake, Fresh Freesia, Flirty Flamingo

Card 3: Fruit Basket

These cards use fruits from the Ice Cream Swirl stamp set (strawberries and cherries) and Simply Sparking stamp set (lemons).  And the coordinating dies for each of the stamp sets were used to cut out one of the fruits in the basket and the fruit outside the basket.  The basket is die cut from the Glorious Gingham DSP, which is also used as a background strip and gives the card a farm/picnic feel. These fruits would also look cute with a face on them—something to try later!  For some sparkle, after coloring the fruit with blends, I used Wink of Stella.

Tips:

  • For the larger fruits (strawberries and lemons) in the basket, the overlaps are covered by the fruit placed in the front.
  • For the basket of cherries, I used a mask. I cut a mask from a post it using the cherry die.  Then I stamped the lower cherry, placed the mask on the stamped cherry and stamped the next cherry—no overlapping outlines!

Pop & Fizz - February 2024 Class

Here are the cards from my Pop & Fizz class.  The stamp sets and products are from On-line Exclusives (Simply Sparkling and Fluffiest Friends) and Sale-A-Bration (Heartfelt Hellos, Trusty Toolbox DSP, Sunny Days DSP).  Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post.  Thanks for stopping by!

Card 1: Fruit Soda

The Simply Sparkling stamp set available through on-line exclusives includes all of the stamps that were used on these cards.  I used the strawberry and cherries, but there are more fruits in the set too.  The bubbles were made from the coordinating dies and you will see more of the cool shapes in one of the cards for March’s class.

20240217 cherry soda card

20240217 strawberry soda card

Tips:

  • Make the most of your cardstock by using the Smoky Slate card stock backing piece to die cut the bubbles from before you attach the stamped Basic White cardstock.
  • Use the small blending brush on the Petal Pink Classic ink pad to add color to the soda can. Apply to cardstock in circular motions.
  • Use the Light Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends on the leaves and Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends on the fruit so that it has a soft look.

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Set: Simply Sparkling*
  • Dies: Simply Sparkling*
  • Sunny Days DSP 3 x 4” (SAB item)
  • Poppy Parade cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”

Card 2: Toolbox

Here is a card for the guys.  This sample is for father’s day, but it can easily be made for a birthday, retirement, thank you, or other occasion by just swapping out the sentiment.  The tools were cutout from paper included in the Trusty Toolbox DSP.  This is a panel card, with the left being 3 ¼” wide and the right 2 ¼” wide.  Photos of the front and opened card are shown below.

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Sets: Heartfelt Hellos (SAB item)
  • Basic Black cardstock 4 ¼ x 11” scored at 3 ¼” and 8 ¾” for card base, 1 x 2 ¾” for backing for sentiment

  • Trusty Toolbox DSP 3 x 4” and 2 x 4” for front panels, tools cut-out from DSP
  • Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers (daffodil delight heart)

Card 3: Gardening Cat

This is a rocker card.  You may have seen them being made with various circle dies--this one uses Deckled Circles.  They are fun to stand up on your table or desk and tap on the end to rock.  Because the cat is mounted slightly to the right, the card at rest leans slightly to the right.  You can adjust to the center by using a smaller sentiment.

Card 4: Honey Bear

Here is the cute bear from the Fluffiest Friends bundle. The arched opening and all of the other shapes (branch, leaves, grass, and hive) were cut using dies in the bundle.

20240217 bear card

Tips:

  • Stamp the bear on Pecan Pie paper and just accentuate using blends.
  • Stamp the honey pot section of the bear image on Basic White cardstock. Then cut out the image with snips.  With a craft knife, cut around the front arm of the bear to create a flap to tuck the honey pot underneath and attach with a dimensional.
  • Color the bee hive opening with the dark Daffodil Delight blend so that it is more visible.
  • Attach the bee hive to the pool party card front using a dimensional at the top of the hive.
  • Attached the bear to the pool party card front using mini dimensionals along the bottom left corner of the arched opening.

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Sets: Fluffiest Friends*, Bee my Valentine (for sentiment)
  • Fluffiest Friends Dies*
  • Pool Party cardstock 5 ½ x 8 ½”
  • Basic White cardstock 4 x 5 ¼” for inside of card
  • Pecan Pie cardstock for bear
