Summer Celebrations - June Class
06/21/2024
Here are the cards from my Summer Celebrations class. The stamp sets and products are from the new Annual Catalog and On-line Exclusives. Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post. Thanks for stopping by!
Card 1: Book Bird
This card features a cute little bird with glasses standing on a stack of books. The front of the card was scored at 1 ¼” and folded back to create a pocket to tuck in a small gift. The images were stamped from the top down—first the bird, then the books, then mask the books to stamp the next stack of books underneath, and finally the sentiment. Using a separate piece of white cardstock, the bird was stamped with glasses, then cut out (no need to cut out the legs) and layered over the original stamped image with dimensionals.
Here is the recipe:
- Stamp Set: Bird’s Eye View, Simply Said
- Full of Life DSP 1 ½ x 5 ½”
- Lemon Lolly cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”, scored at 1 ¼” and 4 ¼”
- Basic Black cardstock 3 x 4 ¼”
- Basic White cardstock 2 ¾ x 4” plus piece to stamp owl
- Wink of Stella
- Ink Pad: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
- Stampin’ Blends: Lemon Lolly, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue, Shaded Spruce, Berry Burst
Card 2: Talking Rabbit
This card features a punch art rabbit that was made using the Bee Mine punch and the new Basic Beige cardstock. The ears are the bee wings, the body is the bee body with the stinger trimmed off, the arms and feet are 4 small hearts. The tummy is a ¾” circle in Basic White cardstock. The face is from the Bee My Valentine set, the whiskers were drawn using black marker, the cheeks and ears were drawn using the Light Flirty Flamingo blend. And finally the conversation bubble is also the bee body. The grass was hand drawn on the Granny Apple Green Cardstock using the dark Granny Apple Green blend.
Here is the recipe:

The face on the fruit was stamped from the retired Taco Fiesta stamp set. The can was created using dies to cut the can body, lid with tab, and bottom. The swirl on the can was stamped in Pool Party and words stamped in Tuxedo Black.

Card 4: Coffee Press
Nothing like a coffee press cup of coffee (or so I've heard not being a coffee drinker myself). I do know that it smells great! All of the pieces were die cut using the Latte Love dies and with the face on one of the cups gives it a Beauty and the Beast musical vibe.
