Is it time for hot chocolate Yeti?

Looking for some holiday packaging ideas?  Here is one using the new Stars Treat bags from the Holiday mini catalog.  It has pretty die cut stars on one side of the bag and s0lid white on the other side.  The treat bag is 3 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 2 3/8 (width)" and comes in a pack of 10.  It can fit all kinds of treats--I decided on 3 hot chocolate packets for this project to coordinate with the Yeti's drink.

The cute Yeti, mug of hot chocolate, and present is from the Yeti to Party Stamp set.  I cut out the images using the coordinating Yeti dies; however, they were only available during the Perfect Partners special in September, so if you didn't have a chance to get them, you can cut them out using snips.  I used Stampin' blends for coloring.  To tuck the present into his arm, I used an exacto knife to cut a slit along the top of his arm, then slid in the present and used a mini dimensional under the ribbon.  For the sentiment, I used the cloud punch.

So that it was easy to carry, I added a handle, which was made from a 1 1/4 x 8 1/2" wide strip of Basic White thick cardstock.  I punched the stars out of the handle using our retired confetti stars punch so that it matched.  Then I attached the handle using liquid glue (or mini glue dots or tear and tape could be used).

Merry Christmouse - October 2022 Stamp Class

Here are the cards from my Merry Christmouse stamp and go class.  It’s time to get ready for the holidays--December will be there in just five and a half weeks!  Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post.  Thanks for stopping by!

Card 1: Three Choir Mice

These cute mice are singing Christmouse carols.  This card is a pocket card—you can include a gift card, tea packet or other little gift inside.  The silver foil was embossed with musical notes using the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder.  You can color their winter wear in colors of your choice, listed in the recipe are the ones I chose.  So cute!

Card 2: Yeti Christmas

This friendly Yeti is enjoying some hot chocolate while on his way to deliver a gift.  To tuck the gift into his arm, use an Exacto knife to cut a slit along the upper portion of this arm.  Then you can insert the gift and use a mini dimensional at the top to secure it in place.  Although the Yeti dies are no longer available for purchase, the shapes can be cut out manually using snips.  (The Yeti dies were available for a limited time in September as part of the Perfect Partners special.)  The DSP used on this card is from Celebrate Everything and will also be featured on the next two cards.  Have a Yeti Christmas!

This card features the Celebrate Everything DSP with double framing and a Polished Pink card base to give it some pop.  The holly leaves were cut out of the Granny Apple Green frame to make the most use of the cardstock.  Any sentiment can be used with the appropriate sized banner, I chose this one from the Christmas to Remember stamp set.

Card 4: Spruced Up Trees

The Spruced Up Bundle (Spruced Up stamp set and Spruced Up Outlines dies) was used to create this card.  Each tree was stamped in the coordinating color in the middle of the frame cardstock piece (i.e., granny apple green ink and cardstock; shaded spruce ink and cardstock).  Then each stamped tree was die cut—the die creates the center solid tree and the thin frame tree.  The stars were cut using the Spruced up dies too.  And the DSP is from the Celebrate Everything pack.  You can choose to layout your trees in many ways so pick what you like best and happy decorating.
