Holiday Parade - October 2021 Class

Here are the cards from my Holiday Parade stamp and go class.  The holidays are fast approaching so get a start on your cards now!  Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post.  Thanks for stopping by!

Card 1: Cool Penguin

The snow is reflecting so brightly that this penguin needs shades.  The Penguin body and shades are punched from black glitter paper.  The shades were made by punching it from the top edge of the inside body shape of the Penguin Builder Punch—where the eyes would have been stamped.  The beak was made by cutting a piece of the foot shape from the punch.  See the circled sections below.

Shades

The silver foil was embossed using the Wintry 3D embossing folder with the snowflake design.  Then a wonderful snowflake was attached to the foil with the penguin on top.  So cute!

Here is the recipe:

  • Wonderful Snowflakes
  • Penguin Builder Punch
  • Wintry 3D Embossing folders
  • Give It A Whirl Dies (for banner)

Card 2: Hedgehog and Berries

This little hedgehog is dashing to the kitchen with her berries, spilling some along the way.  She has plans to bake-up something special.  A standard office holepunch was used to punch circles from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and attached.  Sparkle was added using Wink of Stella-Clear.  The hedgehog was colored with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and the apron with the White Stampin’ Chalk marker.  The DSP is Painted Christmas.

Card 3: Café Pig

This pig is enjoying their favorite hot beverage—coffee, tea, hot chocolate, whichever is your favorite.  It is a moving give card holder—when you open it, the flap inside moves to display the gift card.  The dots on the outside of the card were used by stamping the eraser top of a wooden pencil in Real Red ink.  The inner message was punched from Basic White cardstock using the Rectangular Postage stamp punch.

To assemble:

  1. Use the 3 1/8 x 10 ½” piece. It is scored at 4 ¼” and 8 ½”.  Fold on the score marks. Secure the edges of the 2” portion to form a pocket.  Use strong adhesive like tear and tape or staple (one on each side).
  2. For the movable flap that holds the gift card, this is the 2 ¼ x 4 ½” piece scored at ½” from each edge. Fold on the score marks to form a Z.  Using strong adhesive along the edge of one flap, attach it just above the fold mark to the 4 ¼” side of the piece from #1.  See photo.

Card 4: Gold Foil Ornament

These ornaments were made using the Delicate Baubles dies, Brushed Metallic Cardstock and basic white cardstock.  Shimmer was added to the white outlines on the ornament using Wink of Stella clear.  The sentiments are from the Snow Wonder stamp set.  Because some of the pieces are narrow, you could use the fine tip glue or lightly dot liquid glue to attach.
