Pretty Plants and Party Penguins - August 2021 Class

Here are the cards from my Pretty Plants and Party Penguins stamp and go class.  For the 2 plant cards, the products are from the Bloom Where You’re Planted Suite.  Although it doesn’t have any critters 😊, I’ve been wanting to use this in class since the new catalog came out.  For the 2 penguin cards, you'll fall in love with the super cute Penguin Playmates DSP and Be Dazzling specialty paper from Sale-A-Bration, which runs through September 30th.  Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post.  Thanks for stopping by!

20210821 August class cards

Card 1: Plant Duo

This card features the Bloom Where You're Planted Suite.  The grid on this card is the Paper Lattice.  It comes ready to use in a pack of 10.  The plants and pots are a combination of stamped and cut out images from the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP.  The Perfect plants dies were used to cut out most of the shapes.

Card 2: Hanging Plant

More from the Bloom Where You're Planted Suite.  The idea for this card was inspired by the sample in the annual catalog plus a trip to Mari’s gardens.  They have many beautiful plants, including hanging plants.  To help with placement of the stamped pot, I used my stamparatus to stamp it in Cinnamon Cider so that the sentiment and hanging basket would fit.  I stamped the leafy plant in garden green hanging off the left side, then rotated the stamp 90 degrees and stamped it again so that it hung off the right side.  Next I stamped the plant with the berries on a separate piece of basic white cardstock and cut it out using the matching die.  I attached the die cut plant, then the hanging basket.  I used some linen thread at the top to hang it.  Brushed metallic adhesive dots were used to decorate the basket.

Card 3: Winter Friends

You will fall in love with these cute polar bears, penguins, and fox from the Penguin Playmates DSP.   The background uses the same DSP, starting with a 4 x 5 ¼” rectangle that is cut at a diagonal, then mixing the prints.  The animals were cut-out by hand and embellished with cute stars adhesive-backed sequins in black.  The double oval punch was used to punch the sentiment and scallop.  The presents on 2 of the cards are from the Penguin Place stamp set and were stamped in Fresh Freesia then cut out by hand.

Card 4: Penguin Pals

To showcase the cute Penguin Playmates DSP as much as possible, I used the large memories and more card.  This way, we can see 4x6” of DSP—4 x 4 ½” for the top and 4 x 1 ½” for the bottom strip.  The penguin, snowman and fox were cut out from the DSP too.  The sparkly silver circle is from the Be Dazzling specialty paper, which is also a Sale-A-Bration item. Again the presents were from the Penguin Place stamp set, stamped in Fresh Freesia and cut out by hand.
