Summer Fun - May 2021 Class

Here are the cards from my Summer Fun stamp and go class.  They feature the new In Colors--Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Polished Pink--from the new annual catalog and other new products.  These cute puffins and woodland creatures will make you smile!  Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post.  Thanks for stopping by!

20210522 May class cards

Card 1: Woodland Creatures Party

This stamp set is designed to be stamped in 3 sections so that you can make a small tree or tall tree.  On this card, we created 3 separate sections by scoring at 4” and 6 ¼”, which creates an accordion fold.  Then used the Stamparatus to line up the images so that when the 3 sections are stamped, it becomes a tall tree when the cardstock is unfolded.  See the photos below for the folded and unfolded images.  Then color away!

20210522 Woodlands card 20210522 Woodlands Card - extended

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Set: Woodland Wonder
  • Fresh Freesia cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”
  • Granny Apple Green cardstock 3 ¾ x 4 ¾”
  • Basic White cardstock  3 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4” and 6 ¼”
  • Ink Pad: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Stampin’ Blends: Bronze, Ivory, Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Smoky Slate
  • Stamparatus

Card 2: Puffin with Cake

This little puffin is dancing in with a cake to celebrate a special occasion.  The cake was stamped with the puffin and also on a separate piece of basic white cardstock.  Then the plate and cake were cut-out (excluding the candles) and attached with a dimensional over the stamped cake image.  Color the images.  I also used Basic Black Stampin’ Blends to touch up the black on the puffin as needed.  The large flower flourish was attached with liquid glue (or you can use a glue dot).  Ready to celebrate!

20210522 Birthday Cake Puffin card

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Set: Party Puffins
  • Bumblebee cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”
  • Basic Black 2 ½ x 3 ¼”
  • Basic White 2 ¼ x 3” plus piece for cake
  • Pansy Petals DSP 2 x 5 ½”
  • Flower flourishes – large size
  • Ink Pad: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs: Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink

Card 3: Party Puffin

This little puffin is ready for a party.  The little wrapped fish he is carrying was stamped on a separate piece of white stock and cut out.  Color the images including touching up the puffin with basic black as needed.  The string the fish is hanging from was drawn using a black fine point pen/marker.  Then the fish was attached near the end using a mini dimensional.  What a special gift!

20210522 Birthday fish Puffin card

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Sets: Party Puffins, Hey Birthday Chick
  • Soft Succulent cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”
  • Basic Black 2 ¾ x 3 ¼”
  • Basic White 2 ½ x 3” plus piece for fish
  • Pansy Petals DSP 3 x 4”
  • Ink Pad: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs: Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Succulent

Card 4: Best Puffin

This little puffin says you’re the best!  It’s a panel card, scored 2 1/8” from each side along the 8 ½” edge.  The DSP on the left panel was attached flush to the edge (the side closest to the heard).  The right panel was stamped with flowers.  The heart was punched from Basic White first, then the puffin and words were stamped.  A stem for the flower was drawn with a dark green marker and the images were colored, including touching up the puffin with basic black as needed.  The little flower was attached using liquid glue.  So sweet!

20210522 Heart Puffin Card

Here is the recipe:

  • Stamp Sets: party Puffins, In Bloom
  • Pale Papaya cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½”
  • Calypso Coral cardstock to punch scalloped heart
  • Basic White cardstock to punch heard
  • Pansy Petals DSP 2 x 5 ¼”
  • Flower flourishes – small size
  • Heart Punch Pack
  • Ink Pads: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pale Papaya
  • Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs: Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Soft Succulent

The new Stampin' Up! Catalog is here!

Similar to last year, I'm celebrating the release of the new catalog with a drive and pick-up open house.  On the weekend of May 8th and 9th between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm drive up to my house and pick-up your new catalog packet (free).  It will include a “take and make” (a socially distanced version of the “make and take” 😊) and to-go snacks.  To help with planning, please let me know the date and approximate time you will do your pick-up.

PLUS, you can also purchase retired products by making your selections in advance so that I can package your items with your catalog and let you know your total.  Ralene and I have both compiled lists for you to shop from.  And, like last year, 50% of all retired sales will be donated to the Hawaii FoodBank.  Here is how it will work:

  • Review the order forms in Excel that lists all of the retired products we have available. Check off what you would like and email it back to me by May 7th.  Remember, the sooner you return it the better--it is first come, first served!  There is one list each for me and Ralene:
