The Stamping Owl

Happy May!  Have you been finding more time for crafting these last six weeks?  I spent some time in my craft room this weekend making birthday and mother's day cards using the Bonanza Buddies stamp set.  Sadly, it is on the retired list, so after June 2nd it will no longer be available.  Yikes, get it while you can!

Birthday Cards

To create the Koala, it involves 2 step stamping--one for the body and 1 for the face.  For precise placement, I set-up the images on the stamparatus, one plate for the body, and one plate for the face and balloon strings.  I stamped the hat separately.  The Birthday Bonanza DSP really dressed up the card and kept the layout simple.  Happy birthday!

• Stamp Sets: Bonanza Buddies
• Daffodil Delight 5 1/2 x 8 1/2”
• Whisper White cardstock 2 x 2 5/8” for peacock, cut out with die
• Basic Black cardstock 2 1/4 x 2 7/8”
• Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral cardstock for balloons and hat
• Birthday Bonanza DSP 2 1/4 x 5 1/4"
• Ink: Smoky Slate, Tuxedo Black, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight
• Wink of Stella Clear

Mother's Day Card

I used the same Stamparatus set-up for the Koala and a similar layout as the birthday card. Then I cut out the flowers from the Best Dressed DSP so that the little koala is holding a special bouquet for mom.   You can change the sentiment to make it fit any special occasion.

• Petal Pink 5 1/2 x 8 1/2”
• Whisper White cardstock 2 x 2 5/8”
• Basic Black cardstock 2 1/4 x 2 7/8”
• Best Dressed DSP 1 3/4 x 5 1/4", plus extra for flower cut-outs
• Ink: Smoky Slate, Tuxedo Black
