September Card Class "This Little Piggy"

This little piggy went to stamp class!  Hope you enjoy all of these cute little piggies from September’s class.  Each card features a pig from the This Little Piggy stamp set, uses Twinkle Twinkle designer series paper and Stampin’ Blends.  Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post.

Card 1: This Little Piggy

Here is the namesake of this class.  The pig and sentiment are one stamp.  It was first stamped on the polka dot designer series paper.  Then it was stamped on Petal Pink cardstock and the pig was cut out.  The cut out pig was placed over the polka dot version and attached with dimensionals.  The Petal Pink dark stampin’ blend was used to emphasize the nose and ears.  For the Gray Granite background cardstock, it was embossed with the pinewood planks embossing folder.  Inside the card, the sentiment “says Thanks” was stamped.

Card 2: Pig Drinking Champagne

Here is a happy pig drinking champagne.  The stamp originally had the pig holding a flower so I trimmed the stamp to remove the flower.  Then I stamped a wine glass on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut it out. The liquid in the glass was colored with Daffodil Delight and Wink of Stella so that the champagne sparkled.  The pig was colored with stampin’ blends, see the close-up photo below.   The card was folded to join in the middle—the cardstock was scored at 2 1/8" from either end.  The photo below shows the sentiment stamped inside the card.

Card 3: Flying Pig with Balloons

This flying pig is delivering a pair of birthday balloons.  The balloons were punched from gold and silver foil using the balloon bouquet punch.  The pig was colored with stampin’ blends and the wings were colored with Wink of Stella.  The lower section of the card was folded up and attached on the sides to form a pocket for a gift.  The pig image was attached to the top flap of the card.  For the folds, the Gray Granite cardstock was scored along the long edge at 3 3/4 and 9 1/4".
