June Card Class "It's A Picnic"

Happy New Stampin’ Up! Year!  Here are the cards that we made in June’s class.  To fit the picnic theme there is a shady tree, a basket of apples, a nice cold glass of lemonade and pretty flowers.  Each card also uses a new color or two.  Recipes are included with each project and the supply details are listed at the end of this post.

20180623 June card class

Card 1: Trio of Vases

Here is a grouping of glass vases filled with colorful flowers.  All of the outlines were stamped in tuxedo black.  The flowers were then filled in with the matching solid stamp using three new colors—Highland Heather, Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick.  The water in the vases was colored using Stampin’ Blends Pool Party Light.  The green cardstock is new too—Granny Apple Green.  All stamped images are from the new Varied Vases stamp set.  Wink of Stella clear was used last to highlight the flowers.

Card 2: Shady Tree and Swing

It’s a perfect spot for a picnic.  The Stamparatus was used to create the tree.  The whisper white cardstock card backing was folded and placed on the Stamparatus.  The whisper white square was positioned on top of it.  Then the tree leaves were inked and stamped using the Stamparatus plate.  The trunk was stamped next.  Everything else was stamped separately.  The green is Granny Apple Green (new).  The flowers and frame are Poppy Parade (new).

Card 3: Cool Jar of Lemonade

This cool jar of lemonade looks so refreshing against the new colors of cardstock—Mango Melody and Pineapple Punch.  For the fruit, a half circle stamp from the Tabs for Everything stamp set was stamped on whisper white cardstock-- the image was stamped once when fully inked and then again without re-inking for the lighter color.  The ¾” circle punch was used to punch the circles and then cut in half.  The details on the fruit were drawn using Stampin write markers.  Wink of Stella was used last to highlight the lemon and orange wedges and the drink.
