July Card Class "Coffee Break"

Here are the cards that we made in July's class--all about caffeine with 1 lemon.  Can't get enough of the Coffee Break Suite!

20170722 July Class Cards

Card #1: Coffee (or tea) to go

The Coffee Cups framelits were used to cut out the coffee cup, cover, holder and stirrer.  The cute corrugated elements come in the shapes of a heart, oval and note.  We used a slightly different design for each card so that we could use each shape.  The Coffee Break designer series paper helped me to pick out the coordinating cardstock to use--soft sky, garden green and early espresso.

Card #2: Coffee Helps

I'm not a coffee drinker but I can imagine that this cup of coffee would be delicious.  The images of the coffee cup and whipped top were stamped in Memento Tuxedo black then cut out with the Coffee Cups framelits.  The cup holder was cut from crumb cake using the framelits also and the sentiment stamped in garden green.  The soft sky background was embossed using the Seaside embossing folder--it reminded me of steam.  Once the coffee and whipped top was assembled, I used a crumb cake marker to outline the whipped top and then finished it by coloring the top with Wink of Stella.  The Coffee Break designer series paper was used on this card too.

Card #3: Sharing Coffee with a Friend

This is a panel card.  The pear pizzazz base was scored 2 1/8'"from each end and then folded to the center.  The Coffee Break designer series paper was cut at 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" for each panel.  The sentiment was stamped in early espresso and a pear pizzazz marker was used to outline words for emphasis.  Then the coffee cups and pitcher were cut from one of the sheets of Coffee Break designer paper.

Card #4: If Life Gives you Lemons

This final card uses the Lemon Zest stamp set and coordinating lemon builder punch.  The lemon slices in the background were stamped in daffodil delight, with stamping off for the lighter slice.  The lemon was stamped and then punched out with the lemon builder punch.  The lemon was also colored with Wink of Stella.  The background leaves were embossed using the new Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Textured impressions embossing folder.  This folder creates different depths of embossed images!
