The Stamping Owl

Here are the cards that we made in February's class.

Card #1: Little Bear with Popsicle

The designer paper used for this card was Tasty Treats from the Occasions Catalog.  I just love all of the designs in this pack.  The popsicles on the designer paper were the perfect size to cut out and put in the little bear's hand.  The little bear is from the Bear Hugs stamp set.  It was stamped in Chocolate Chip, then a blender pen was used to color in the image which picked up the color from the stamped bear to fill in the image. 

Card #2: Ice Cream Cone

We used more of the Tasty Treats designer paper in this card.  The large ice cream cone with fudge and the cherry on top was cut using the Frozen Treats framelits.  There is also a coordinating stamp set called Cool Treats that has many cool treat images along with the sentiments, including the one shown on this card.   Some of us made double scoop and triple scoop cones--they all looked delicious.

Card #3: Sweet Treats Truck

This card was made using the Tasty Trucks photopolymer stamp set from Sale-A-Bration (SAB).  For every $50 you order, you can choose a free SAB item, and this is one of them!  There are cupcakes, ice cream cones, pancakes, tacos and hot dogs in the set.  To create this look, we stamped the truck on whisper white cardstock.  Then we stamped the truck on a post-it and cut it out.  Using the cut out as a mask, we placed it on the stamped truck.  Then we sponged on the Soft Sky background and Smoky Slate road.  We then removed the mask and the truck stands out in white.  We colored elements on the truck with Watercolor pencils and went over it with Blender pens.  It was fun to see all of the color combinations that everyone used.

Card #4: Hot Air Balloons

This card features the Carried Away Design Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration (SAB).  One of my group members requested that I use this paper in a card.  It was a challenge because the color combination was out of my comfort zone.  I followed the colors used in the designer paper and was happy with the results.  The punched balloon and small heart softened the look and made it more playful.

Here is a sneak peek of the cards we will be making in my February class.   You can see that there are products from the Occasions catalog, Sale-A-Bration and the regular catalog too.  

We will be making 12 cards--3 each of 4 designs.  All supplies to make the cards including envelopes will be provided.  The class fee is $20. 

Please note that the class dates have changed from what was originally posted to my website in November.  The revised dates are February 25th (9 am and 1 pm ) and 26th (9 am and 1 pm).  There are still spaces available in the 1 pm sessions on both days so if you'd like to sign up, please email me to reserve your spot.  Hope we can stamp together soon!
