Little Miss Perfect Cards

In continuation of my post from June 22nd, here are more cards made with the A Little Foxy Designer Paper and Fox Builder punch.  These were also part of my demo at our SWA Open House.  I made two little girls, each with different hairstyles that were made using shapes punched from the Fox Builder punch.

The little girl's hair is the tail from the Fox Builder Punch x 2.  Her bang's are the "mask" shape from the Fox Builder punch.  Her face is a 1" circle punched from Blushing Bride and her dress is the largest petal in Calypso Coral punched from the Blossom Builder Punch.  Her cheeks were made by inking the top of a pencil eraser in Blushing Bride classic ink.  Her face was drawn using Journaling Pens.  The little message is from Greatest Greetings.  The heart accents were punched from real red using the Confetti Hearts Border punch.

The next card is the little girl again, but I reversed the tail shapes so that her hair flips out instead.   A totally different look with the same punches!  I also used this card as my swap for our SWA June Inspiration Night.  The feature colors are Pool Party and Real Red.

You can use different colors for her hair and create hairstyles to match the special people in your life!  I haven't tried a ponytail yet but I'm sure it would turn out cute too.

Foxy Friends Cards

We had our annual Stamped With Aloha new catalog open house this past weekend.  Thanks to everyone for the canned goods and monetary donations for our FoodBank drive.  We had a huge retired products sale, card sales, a make and take station, refreshments and demonstrations.  I was manning one of the demonstration tables and, of course, my theme was critters!  I showcased the new Foxy Friends set and Fox Builder punch, which can be purchased as a bundle (for 10% off) or separately, plus the coordinating designer series paper stack, A Little Foxy.

The designer paper stack features the colors Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate and Whisper White.  So I used these colors along with Basic Black and Basic Gray to make three cards that were part of my demo.

20160618 Fox card

The first one is of the fox.  I used every single shape from the Fox Builder punch.  The white accents on his tail, ears and face were punched from whisper white.  His body, tail and head were punched from Calypso Coral.  And his nose was punched from Basic Black.  I drew in his eyes with Journaling Pens and stamped his front legs using the images from the Foxy Friends stamp set.  Because it's photopolymer, it's easy to place in just the right spot.  The words are from the set Greatest Greetings.  The background paper of mushrooms is from A Little Foxy.

20160618 Racoon card 2

Next up is a raccoon in Basic Gray.  I use the Fox Builder punch to punch his tail, head and body from Basic Gray.  Then the stripes on his tail, front legs and mask and ear accents are stamps from the Foxy Friends set.  I drew the eyes with a Journaling Pen and punched out his nose in Basic Black.  I really like the hearts in the talking bubble, which is also from Foxy Friends stamped in Calypso Coral.  Again the background paper is from A Little Foxy.

20160618 Racoon card

The final card is another raccoon, this time in Smoky Slate, so he is a little lighter and his features are easier to see.  He was made the same way as the raccoon above.  I really like the designer paper, there are so many cute patterns.  I'll have more to share later so stay tuned!

Love you Lots Cards

Here are some new critters in the new hostess set Love You Lots from the 2016 Annual Catalog.  These three cards were also the make and takes at my new catalog open house on June 5th.  Simple and easy, especially because I used crumb cake note cards--note cards with matching envelopes that come in a pack of 20.  The elephant and mouse is my favorite, I think.  Or maybe the hedgehogs...  All of the supplies used to make the cards are listed at the end of this post.

20160605 Elephant and mouse card

The elephant card uses one of the new in-colors for 2016, dapper denim.  The elephant and mouse are stamped in tuxedo black memento ink.  The balloon is from the set Balloon Builders and I drew in the string using the Project Life Journaling Pen size 01 point.  The Happy Birthday is from the Party with Cake set.  It'a simple graphic card that you can make quickly.

20160605 Hedgehogs card

The hedgehogs are stamped in tuxedo black memento ink and colored in with crumb cake using a sponge dauber.  The polka dots in the background were also made using the sponge dauber with crumb cake.  The colors framing the image are two more new in-colors, Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum.  The same colors in markers were used to color the flower and leaf.

20160605 Ladybugs card

And finally, two cute ladybugs stamped in tuxedo black memento ink featuring the new in-color Flirty Flamingo. The background polka dots are from the stamp set Sunburst Sayings.  The 1 3/4" circle punch was used to punch the image and the flower medallion punched from Basic Black highlights it.

You can earn the Love You Lots hostess set and make cute critters of your own by placing an order of $150 or more and spending some of your hostess dollars on this set.  There is also a special this month where a $350 order or more gets you an additional $35 in hostess benefits--host a party with me or order together with friends.

Come to our Stamped With Aloha Stampin' Out Hunger event at the Hawaii FoodBank to see more exciting new catalog products and get a catalog of your own.  Click here for more details about the event and to RSVP. Enjoy stamping all year around in my classes--see my schedule here and email me to reserve a spot in any of the sessions.

Critters in the Classroom - May Stamped with Aloha inspiration Night

Cindy asked me to help design and prepare the projects for our May Stamped with Aloha Inspiration Night.  We decided on a critter theme (of course!) featuring the Playful Pals set and Schoolhouse designer series paper.  And we were very relieved when we found out that the Playful Pals stamp set will be in the new catalog so that we can continue to have fun with them!

The first 3 projects feature a cute mouse on the cover of a folder that holds 2 matching mouse cards.

20160531 Folder with cards inside

To make the folder, a full sheet of thick white cardstock was used.  It was scored down the middle on the long edge at 5 1/2".  Then it was scored along the 8 1/2" edge at 6 1/4".  Fold on both scored marks.  For the pocket fold, trim the middle so that it leaves a space shaped like a V (see photo above).  Attach each pocket to the edge using tear and tape.

The next 2 cards are similar to designs that I made for my May card class.

Here is the owl card that has a pocket inside where you can tuck a gift card or other monetary item.  The finished card size is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".  Start with a piece of crumb cake cardstock that measures 4 1/4" x 10".  Score along the long edge at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2".  Fold up the flap to form the pocket.  Use the 1" circle punch to punch out half a circle tab from the small flap.  Then attach the corners using a glue dot for extra hold.  For the owl, the same shape is used for the body as was used for the mouse.  The stick for the sign is a toothpick.

The final project is a little rabbit.  The set-up reminds me of a white board used in the classroom.  The watercolor Thank You reminds me of practicing cursive writing in school.  Hope you like this little guy.
